Our Art Scholarships for Young Adults

We are especially proud of our committment to provide scholarships to qualified young people who have chosen an art-related field as a focus of study.  During the past 10 years, we have provided 51 students with over $63,250 in tuition funds.  This remains a priority of the Art Alliance, and the generosity of our membership is the foundation of our scholarship program.

During the 2005-2006 season, the Art Alliance provided $10,500 in scholarship funds to five qualified college students.  Scholarship funds come from member contributions, donations from show attendees, and from major fund raising events such as the Art in the Home Tour, auctions, studio tours, and the sale of artwork donated by exhibiting members.

Students who are connected to Boca Grande by residence or by family employment and intend to study in an art-related field may apply for scholarship funds through the Counseling Office of Lemon Bay High School or directly with the Art Alliance office.  Funds are distributed once the student is enrolled in college.
