Mastering Color Values and Composition
with Kevin Dadoly

This award-winning artist is a master of color and has achieved his expertise through unusual means.  He does not see color like we do, as he is colorblind.  Instead, he intuitively feels and intimately knows the meaning of color, having studied color values with great intensity and having mastered the colors of the palette.

Kevin belives that being colorblind has its advantages.  "While I might not know what color something is, I understand the light or darkness of the color.  In other words, I understand the values.  I need someone to tell me the color and then I know how to mix it and apply it to the correct value.  So in many ways, being colorblind can be very helpful."

One look at his website www.kevindadoly.com will convince you of his skills.  Dadoly is a signature member of the Copely Society of Boston.  He has had several one-man shows, including the St. Paul's Schol, The Gallery at Harget, Concord, NH, and the Whistler House Museum.
